It is rather obvious we are all experiencing additional time at home with immediate family members. In the midst of the serious challenges our society and the world face, good can be found in slowing down our hectic lives and centering on those relationships that matter most to us.
Bumping and crashing into each other
In the coming weeks, even home educating parents, who are accustomed to spending their days with their children, may sense some tension with family members bumping or crashing into each other as the days of togetherness unfold. Moms are creative, though, and I am sure they will rise to meet the challenge. I offer this reminder as an encouragement, and want you to know I am praying for you.
The one another passages prove to be a valuable source for social development and training. Getting along with each other, thinking of others before ourselves, choosing to love when others are unlovable, asking for forgiveness when we have blown it, requires practice. And enough practice will establish habits, good habits that will moderate our behavior and bring about meaningful relationships. Now is an especially good time to meditate on the one another passages.
Please pray for our nation and others around the world.
